Organize Your Closet To Maximize Storage

Many times a closet can become a very confused mess. You may have sporting goods in the bottom with shoes and boots piled on top of them. The closet may have become a quick hiding place when tidying up the place for company that calls just before dropping in.

Keep the doors closed and everything is out of sight. However it becomes difficult to find what you need.

In you need some organization for your closet, try shopping for home storage solutions. You will find several home closet organization systems available that will help to organize a closet for maximum efficiency in storage of everything that needs to be stored in there. Additionally, an organized closet allows the owner to open doors and find the needed item with less frustration.

Rather than lay the Epiphone electric guitar in the bottom of the closet try standing it at one end. If you keep it in its case, you will find that it takes little space and can still be easily accessed when it is time to play. If the case continues to fall over, try attaching a loose bungee cord to two eye hooks to hold the case in place. A cord and one at the bottom will hold the case securely without damage.

The same method works well for long thin items such as alpine skiing equipment. Skis and ski poles can be held in place using two bungees and two eye hooks. Place the hooks in line vertically and use the cords to hold the equipment in place. Not only does this give better organization to the closet, it also protects the skis and other equipment from damage if they are stepped on in the bottom of the closet.

Closets are designed for storing clothing, but if you only have one shelf above a long closet rod, you are not using this space to its greatest efficiency. Some clothing is best stored when lying flat and shoes stored on a shoe rack are held together so that you are not constantly looking for one lost shoe. The rack is an excellent way to protect the shoes from being damaged in the bottom of a closet.

Consider using double hanging racks, one above the other for most hanging clothes. Only dresses need full length hanging space. The high and low level bars are great for pants skirts and blouses. Even most suits, coats and blazers work fine
